What does Chessmates cost our club?

Basic is free and stays free. Pro costs CHF 29 per month or CHF 290 per year (-17%), and you can try it free for 30 days first, with no credit card.

What does the free version include?

A public club page, up to 100 members, one active tournament at a time and unlimited club nights with basic chat. Enough to try Chessmates properly.

How long does setup take?

Under 30 minutes for most clubs. You create your club profile, import your existing member list by CSV (a spreadsheet export is enough) and plan your first event. If you like, we guide you through it personally.

Can we simply import our existing members?

Ja. Der CSV-Import unterstützt Name, E-Mail, FIDE-ID und Geburtsdatum — der übliche Excel-Export aus eurer Mitgliederliste passt direkt. Falls etwas anders heisst oder fehlt, helfen wir beim ersten Import persönlich.

How is data protection handled?

Wir verarbeiten alle Daten konform zum revidierten Schweizer Datenschutzgesetz (revDSG) und zur DSGVO. Server stehen in der EU, eine Weitergabe an Dritte findet nicht statt, und einen Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag (AVV) liefern wir auf Anfrage. Details in der privacy policy.

Who is behind Chessmates?

A small Swiss team who play chess themselves. We build Chessmates because this is exactly the tool we missed as club members. The app has been in the App Store since May 2026 and we keep developing it.
